BURUNDI - PRESIDENT \ NKURUNZIZA: - OF A COAST,  ONE  BIBLE AND  A STICK OF PILGRIM TO THE HAND, AND OTHER, CLOTHES AND SHOES OF SPORT -

NKURUNZIZA Pierre, the new president of Burundi is a rather atypical academic. Very pious, it devotes to the meditation. It likes soccer but its favorite sport remains the “love of its next”…   The contact with its People appears the gasoline of his existence.

Ex-rebel, and victorious of a long civil war of more than ten years, NKURUNZIZA gained the elections in August 2005  with his party: The CNDD-FDD. BURUNDI is the only country of the  GREAT LAKES AREA  to have to organize noncontestable democratic elections, an exception in Africa  !

Sensitive to the quiet suffering of his brothers and sisters, often “Petero” slices: - free education for all primary education teaching; - exemption from payment of the care of maternity and the children of less than 5 years.  Consequently imagine this Burundian society  in 20 years !   Deep Burundi likes it much for this manner of making because it resembles to them.   When the famine strikes to them his, he organizes a special contribution. When the pouring rain falls down on his, he comes the first to their side to share their suffering…

Very open, not ethnist, not clanist and not regionalist , facing a criminalized society socio - economically, this small son of the kingdom of Burundi  !    He makes with his way.  This communion with its ancestor is not ordered!   With due respect to those which controlled the country during 40 years to reduce it to nothing.      At 9 months already, the difference is seen with the eye naked. It is palpable for many Burundian families…

A such low voice which blows to him with the ear each morning:  “Pierre, on these ruins, you will rebuild  Burundi”;president NKURUNZIZA advances gradually .  The Burundian revolution had a cause indeed !
